Going by the Serial # and Crown over N Proof. It is a third variation PP from 1932-1935. SN 769 000-948 000. Probably 1935.

According to my chart it was made in 1937. Dose it have a 90 deg. or 60 deg. safety. 90 deg. safety's ended in 1936. Hopes this helps you.

It has a 90 degree safety
If you use the safety to decock the hammer don't let it just slam forward. You can crack the safety drum that way. Since the 90° safeties were phased out in favor of the 60° around 1936/37 it won't be an easy part to replace.

Could be a late 1936 or early 1937. The cut off date for 90 Deg. safety's is not casted in stone. Either way, a nice looking PP.

Thank you all for your input it has helped tremendously. This is the third WW2 era firearm I own and I love the history that comes with it.
