Brand new PPQ 9mm firing Federal 115 gn. first 100 rds.
1. Appears that the shells are scuffing the ejection port as they leave. I've never had a pistol do that. I hope these are only surface marks however I haven't found a way to remove them. I don't want to use anything abrasive that might take off the slide finish.
2. Barrel is scuffed on the exterior indicating that it is rubbing. Again, not seen this with any of my other pistols on the first 100 rds. fired.
Yes, I did clean and lube the pistol per the manual before first firing.
Is this brass marking normal?
Is there a way to remove the marks?
Should I be concerned about the barrel scuffing off the finish?
Appreciate your help
