Any one have any opinions/experience on using bore snakes? I've heard they are best for only a short term cleaning -- not to replace a usual slide-off-frame cleaning. Any other thoughts?

Love 'em! I use them exclusively now. They get the bore shiny and clean, if there are stubborn deposits, I just run a bronze brush through a few times and follow up with the bore snake.

MPro7 is the only cleaning solution I use.

Wash them in the sink with soapy water and let them dry for the next go-around.

I use Bore Snakes on all my weapons and like above, if need be go back to Ol' Reliable....
