to a PPK or PPK/S. I have the 85FS and am new here to walther. Come here originally because my lady was entranced by a P22 with 5 inch barrel at the range yesterday. So I would value opinions in both areas the P22 and the PPk.
The PPK is a 70 yr old centerfire (.32 or .380) of steel construction, and the P22 is a newer .22 plinker with a polymer frame. Pretty different guns. If you're comparing to an 85 FS, you might consider the P99 in .40 or 9mm They look similar to the P22.
looking at the P22 because my girlfriend has a hard time racking the 85FS (it is a blowback slide with a very hard spring) but she liked the P22 and was able to work the mechanism well. Si I am looking at alternatives for her because the P22 is nice for tagets but lacks stopping power for self defense
