Hey all,

I'm new to the forum, and I had a question reguarding changing the backstraps on the P99 AS. To put it simply, how do you do it? lol. I've tried popping the pin from the butt, I'm having great difficulty in doing so. Has anyone else had this trouble? and if so, how did you remedy it? Thanks!

How did you attempt to remove the pin?

It's in there quite tight; you'll need an appropriately-sized pin punch (or something similar, like a nail with the tip ground off) and a small hammer to drift it out.

Take Ogie's advice and use a roll pin punch vs. a conventional punch. It will not "booger up" the roll pin head and assist in making installation or removal clean and effortless.
