I have a 9mm P99, and I'm thinking of getting a 40S&W P99 as well.

My question is, are the accessories for these guns interchangeable?
Will holsters for my 9mm also work with the 40S&W, mag carriers, etc, etc?

I had thought the slide was a bit beefier on the 40S&W, so I am thinking maybe they are different sizes...

The 9mm and .40 Auto differ in the front portion of the slide only. The .40 Auto slide is a tad longer (the barrel is thus a tad longer as well), and the area around the muzzle is thicker. The front of the 9mm slides have cuts, making them thinner for the last couple of inches of the slide front. The .40 Auto ones have no such cut. Here are some photos, taken from Jim Costanza's web site:

Fortunately, most holster manufactures seem to be making their P99 holsters based on the .40 Auto one, meaning that the holster will fit both calibers. It's best to check with the holster manufacture to be sure.

The frames of both are the same dimensions.

The reason I asked is that the P99 in 40S&W that I am buying comes with a Don Hume PCCH holster and mag pouch, and a Fobus holster and mag pouch as well, and I'm hoping I can use these for my 9mm as well.
