I understand Walther has made the slide release ambidextrious to help us left handers, yet it seems like maybe this only applies to the 2004 P99QA and the 2004 P99DAO. Does the 2004 P99 AS 9mm also have the slide release on both sides? Could any of you be kind enough to post pictures of the slide release on both sides or provide a web link to pages with pictures of this? Last but not least, will the P99C AS also have the slide release on both sides?

I don't think the slide release is ambidextirous. My 2004 AS has only one. The magazine release is, however. It's the same for all P99s and works quite well imo. I use my trigger finger to drive it but I'm sure there are other methods too.

According to Walther's web site, the new P99 series has an enlongated ambidextrous slide stop that is standard on the P99 DAO and optional on the P99 QA.
