What does a 9x21 get you over the 9mm luger caliber? More powder and ummph?

I doesn't get you anything. It was made for countries where military calibers are illegal, as in Italy, Mexico, a noveltyitem in the US stating that you own one,because only so many are brought in. Ammo is much more expensive and really no more potent than the 9x19. Overall cartridge length is the same the only difference is the length of the case so the bullet sits over the powder charge the same. I much prefer the 9x19 is a standard caliber all over the world and ammunition is found everywhere. So unless you want to buy it for collectable purposes or as a novelty I wouldn't pay the large amount they want for it.
