I think one of the original posts on this mod suggested cutting 3 coils to start with. I think I did 5 or 6 and was perfectly happy. When I want to shoot for accuracy, this is the QA I use now.
P.S. - If you ever sell your QA, make sure you buy a stock spring and replace the one you cut! If the new onwner has an AD they may come after you.
