Well, I finally actually had some time to get out and sling some lead with my new .357 sig barrel. I wrote up a range report on my website, so rather than re-writing it all here, I'll post the link:

Warning: This is my first attempt at any kind of range report. (passing out grains of salt)

Quote[/b] ]Just curious, for the slide lockback failure, was that while firing .40 Auto or .357 Sig?
Actually, it was one of each; which is why I think it may have been my fault. I'm going to try to get out this afternoon and put some more rounds through the thing. I'll update the range report tonight with my experiences.

I ran out to the range on Monday and did some more testing. This time focusing mostly on reliability. I've updated the range report accordingly.

By the way, the two fail to lock backs that I experienced were my fault. I recently started holding the gun with my right thumb elevated, near the slide release. When I'm shooting free hand, this isn't a problem. But, apparently, when I'm shooting from a rested position, my thumb tends to hold the slide release down. Once I realized that is what was happening, I haven't had any more problems.

Put another 100 rounds of .357 sig through it today.

50 - Speer Lawman 125g FMJ
50 - Ultramax 125g FMJ

Again, no problems with either of these types of ammo. Today was just plinking, so I had a chance to just blast away.
I have 4 mags, and I loaded all of them up with the Ultramax, and then proceeded to empty them (all 4) in about 30-35 seconds. No jams, no FTF, FTE....just the same old P99 reliability that you're all used to.

Shot my buddies USP 40 while I was out. Nice gun, but I think I'll hold on to my P99
He shot my P99 as well (both .40 and .357sig) and really liked it......said that he wishes he would have bought a P99 instead. Less money, same reliability.
