Does anyone have any experience with this process? I was wondering if followers and base plates could be scanned and printed. I made some S&W followers function in a PP .22. They were a combination of ground to shape polymer and JB Weld. What about stock looking bottom plates? Could these parts be scanned and printed? There is a UPS store about a mile from here that has one of these machines. It is about the size of a large microwave from what I recall. I'm not going down there at present due to the virus but I've seen some amazingly complex parts made by this process. Color is apparently no problem...black to anything you can think of. Followers, grips, base plates?

What I like about some of the processes that I've seen is that there is no CAD involved. The machine precisely scans the part and then reproduces it. I think. 1917
