I recently received a P99AS as a gift.  Greatest gift in the world!

I was able to take a peak at it before xmas, and noticed it came w/ the backstrap already in the frame, +1 more.  I swear I read that they come w/ +2.  Did Gander Mtn leave something out of the package?

What else is "supposed" to come in the NIB package?  This was $630 bucks.

I'm not sure if it helps, but it's a 2002 or 2003 frame (no ski ramp in trigger guard, but still shorter mag release) w/ a 2000 slide (per the markings).

something doesn't add up here......
either you need to look at it again or you didn't get the date code right

closed rail... skiramp in triggerguar....... up till 2003
open rail short mag release 2004
open rail long mag release 2005

you should get extra 2 (two) backstraps

date codes are on barrel and frame....by alpa codes

Ok so you should get 3 extra front sight inserts... each differently #'d (3, 5, 6)..... and #4 should be installed on your P99, also a allen key to remove the screw in the front sight

Just to verify...

If it's a full sized P99, it should have 3 backstraps total.

If it's a P99c, it comes with 2 backstraps total.

This bugged me because I use the large backstraps on my full size models, so the medium feels too small on my P99c.

I'm sure someone will chime in if I'm wrong.

correct on the P99c.....
there is only 2 backstraps with the P99c..... also I have seen that some P99c have different "checkering" on the small backstrap (square or rectangular rather than the "dots" like on the P99c medium backstrap)
though I wonder if those come from the SW99c or original P99c???
