Hello everyone. I am brand new to this forum but have read through much of it.
I own a new P99 titanium. It is a handsome gun but I have one small quirk. After inserting a full mag and racking the slide which chambers the first round and leaves the gun in the cocked position sometimes the first round will not fire unless I pull the trigger again. The second pull is in the DA mode and always fires. What gives? The mags have the blue followers that are mentioned often.

That is strange...by your post I assume the rest of the magazine fires fine? Either way I agree, send it in or take it back to where you bought it. It is a fine gun and probably just needs an adjustment?

Since you mention followers, this is a .40 S&W, correct?
After the fail to fire, are there any light marks on the center primer area of the casing?
If you haven't already done so, you may want to strip it down to see if you can observe anything abnormal.
If this was purchased brand new & unfired, except for any factory test firing, go back to your dealer 1st, then call Smith & Wesson if the dealer is not helpful.  S&W should send you a FedEx label, so it shouldn't cost you any shipping.
