I've seen holster storage pit a stainless Ruger; really bad idea.
Skeptical of putting guns in grease and then in poly bags...the blued ones get a wipe and then into a gun rug, and then in a safe with a Golden Rod.
The bag/grease may work if you're burying them in the backyard, but what fun is that? To even handle one of your prizes, you have to go thru' a huge degreasing, and then repeat the process before restoring it.
I've a 50 year old Super Bearcat without a spot of rust...it shows handling wear, and it lives in a rug.

Don’t leave that Bearcat in the ug and move from a cool house to a warm outdoors…..instantly coated with moisture.

A little correction from Germany: It's called Merkers Salt Mine and not Meekers Salt Mine. I know this for sure because I have already visited this place twice from my hunting ground in Thuringia.
