Hello everyone, I'm new here and I wanted to pick your brains about a gun that was handed down to me by my father. It is what I believe to be an early 1945 walther PP with the eagle and N proof marks, with the serial beginning with 382XXXp and the ac stamp below. The slide and frame numbers do match. The magazine has the W engraved on it which further makes me think it is late war era.
It also has an unusual holster with a walther eagle stamp and the number 37 engraved in the holster strap. I was wondering if there is any way of knowing whether this was ever issued to a German soldier or if this was requisitioned from the factory when it fell in April and any way of knowing the price of this fine weapon (not that I would ever want to sell it). Thanks again for any info!
