Your PP was made in 1937 and is was one of the last 10,0000 made with the 90° safety. Marschall catagorizes this as a 4th variation PP.

Sometimes when a pistol comes in for repair the gunsmith will put his mark on it.

I may have the # of grooves wrong. My point is that the early PP/PPKs had a "fat" safety with more grooves than the OP's. The fat safety and 90' arc went hand-in-hand. At some point, they got phased out.

That is interesting. Perhaps the T benchmark was made by the smith who changed the safety lever.
