My P99 and I just completed a two day pistol course where I fired 1400 rounds over two days. The only malfunction occured when my thumb was riding the slide release. The ammo was 115 grain Blazer. My pistol now has fired approximately 2000 rounds with only malfunctions being due to operator error. My only complaint is that the finish doesn't seem as durable as my Glock 17. I am already beginning to see some holster wear. In the Walther's defense, it has already been in and out of the holster over a thousand times!

I have 3 combative pistol courses, and a few thousand practice rounds thru my P99 9mm.
1 malfunction due to my T-shirt getting hung up in the slide, during a close retention shooting drill, definately not the pistols fault.
It still looks great, and functions perfectly.
Holster wear adds character.
