Model 2 Broken Firing pin

Hello all. I have a pre WW2 Walther Model 2 semi-auto / bolt action rifle.
The firing pin recently broke and i would dearly like to get it working again. Could anyone advise where i could try for a replacement firing pin?

I have attached a picture of the main body of the pin. The pin itself is missing, having snapped off at the face of the main section. I estimate the pin was about 10 to 15mm long.

Thanks,
Trevor

The first call I'd make, and perhaps even the second, would be to Earl's Repair Service here in the USA:

www.carlwalther.com

But that's only because I'm in the USA. Were I living in some place like, say, Herefordshire in the UK, I might well contact the folks at Walther in Germany and ask them for one:

Carl Walther Sporting Weapons

Good luck; do keep us posted on what you find.

Good luck to you, sir. I'd think that the folks in Germany would be able to ship you a firing pin without difficulty. But if that doesn't work out, do contact Earl's Repair Service. There's no reason that he couldn't send one across the pond for you.

This is good news ... glad to hear it. By all means let us know how it goes. And, while you are at it, how about a quick primer on how you can own a working firearm in GB? The general feeling on this side of the pond is that all things firearms-related on your side of the pond have to be rendered inoperable if they are to be owned at all ... either that or be locked up in a museum. Or doesn't that apply to sporting rifles?

Searcher451, just a note to say a big thank you. Earl's Repair Service posted the firing pin and also a spare mag i ordered, they arrived within a week. I have fitted the replacement firing pin and the old girl is back firing again! Highly recommend Earl's Repair Service.

Thanks again. Fantastic
Cheers,
Trevor

P.S, i will write on the topic of UK firearms law soon.

Way to go, Trevor ... good news, indeed. Glad to hear that you are up and running again, with an assist from this side of the pond.
