OLD Walthers

I confess the newest Walther I currently own is a Manhurin P1 from the 1960s- my favorite is a very late G.41, ac-43, within the last thousand they produced before switching to G.43 manufacture. Had the privilege once of examining a privately-owned (and DEWAT) MKb.42(W)- impressively impractical! But the G.41 is almost a work of art- doesn't have the almost commercial finish of a G.41(M), but it also lacks the 18 or so impossible little springs and bits in the action-- can't imagine caring for that weapon in a snow trench in Russia at -30F.....and the 41(W) is perhaps a bit muzzle-heavy, which the G.43 is not....

Any interest in those kinds of Walthers here? I'm all set for modern 9mm's- got all I need.....

Yes, of course, but speaking only for myself.

There is a "Walther Rifles" sub-forum here, though WWII Walther long guns seldom get any play.

I'd say it's time to change that. Do you want to begin?

There are very few modern firearms that really capture my interest as much as the classics!
According to a recent study every third democrat is as stupid as the other two
