"Discontinued" is a bit of an exaggeration. As far as I am concerned the Creed is the PPX with a slightly reshaped grip and a reshaped slide. So many people complained about the blocky shape of the PPX slide that I think Walther was embarrassed to keep the name. I was no fan of the PPX slide "look" but I think the gun is amazing (my copy anyway.) Anyway if you want a PPX and cannot find one just buy a Creed.

I'm not exactly Mr. Current Events with the PPX and just now learned that they were discontinued. Pity. That is one nicely-made suppressor platform, which is why I own three I guess - one NIB. Of course, it is true the PPX is ugly as a mud fence, but truly form follows function and if you believe that, the PPX is a raving beauty.

I had 4 pistols until recently. The shop closed where I was working, and I was out of work for several months. I sold 3 of the 4 pistols I had. Sold a SS Ruger 357 revolver, Ruger Single Six revolver. Glock 26 Gen 3. The pistol I chose to keep? My PPX 9mm. I think it was discontinued because everyone was saying it is ugly. I don't know why but I've never thought it was that ugly. People saying it looks like a High Point and stuff like that. It may be discontinued but I'm pretty sure it will outlast me. If you look at it, it does have a higher bore axis then more expensive pistols, such as Glocks, Sigs, etc. But it's well balanced, no problem with muzzle flip or anything. It's a great shooter. Hell, I kind of like the way it looks. Glad I have one.

According to Walter, it was discontinued because sales were disappointing.
