NOT ME: First PPX vid on youtube by regular fellow

Again...It's not me so I hope not to come across like it's my review. Just thought I'd post the link so others can see what a new owners thoughts are on the unboxing. Caution, the first few minutes is him gushing about his wife that apparently bought it for him for valentines day (I'm just jealous).

Yeah, skip the first two minutes.

PS: That guy has HUGE hands. I like his take on the grip though.

Nice vid, but I really wanted to see him pull the trigger. I'm very curious as to how that trigger is gonna function.....I understand it's a short light pull....

Hopefully by Wednesday I'll post my thoughts on how the trigger feels.

As I posted elsewhere, I'm going to have a look at one at my LGS. I'll try my best to compare it to my P99 and PPS.

So far my only real concern is the two piece barrel, but 1911s have had them for years and years...

Walther P1's and postwar P-38's have a barrel liner. The separate feed ramp is weird though. The trigger is similar to my Glock 19. Short take up...a definite stop point...then a short squeeze to fire. It also has a really long reset. For a nightstand gun that's OK but I'd rather carry my P99AS.

Is it just me or are the rails that the slide contacts very small? (@ 4:35)

I couldn't make it through more than three minutes...I'll wait for a better review. I hope the gun gets good reviews though. (and by reviews, I mean long-term testing reviews).

They are very small...like a Glocks. Given that they're a very hard stamped steel and aligned with the slide that shouldn't be a problem.
