Yup. Got a bright flashlight up in there. No dust or anything. Definitely not there. They admitted that early on they missed some. I mailed mine 2 days after the recall was announced.

Dropped mine off on the 4th - last Monday. Received back today, 1 week turn around. Trigger actually feels better or I forgot what it felt like in a weeks time.

I'm with you, I like to take care of my firearms and I don't just toss them around helter skelter. I don't have anything that is collector quality, but I just like to keep them in good shape. Sure a gun can be considered a tool, but I consider it more as something to have fun with and in an emergency or critical situation, it can provide protection. Heck, a car for many is nothing more than a tool, but I spend hours keeping mine looking good and dent and scratch free (and well maintained, something else that must be done with firearms)!

A mint looking firearm is one that is never used. May as well invest in silver if you want a polished hunk of metal.



And we don't compare firearms to cars. Cars need registration, insurance, laws restrict them, etc.

True, there are no laws, registration, or insurance involved with guns.

By definition, we can all agree that using a gun will inevitably cause some wear, holster or otherwise. But some of us go to the little effort to minimize that, and that’s ok. I definitely use all of my guns (thousands of rounds each), and I carry each...they are all in nearly mint condition. I think the car analogy is spot on because I keep even my daily driver looking as good as possible. I really like to take care of my stuff...especially the tools I use.

You might say my guns are a polished hunk of metal. And because of that they are, just like a car or anything else for that matter, worth a helluva lot more on resale than the next one that’s all beat up and looks abused.

My son is the type that doesn’t care as long as it works. He drives at best half as much as I do and his car looks like $#!t with door dings, bumper scrapes and so on. He doesn’t even notice it. To me, it’s like a mountain; a vast bowl of pus!

Back quick

Got mine back before the holidays and didn't get a chance to shoot it until last weekend.

Got it back in about a week- everything looked good.

I didn't notice a difference in the trigger. A bit of stack like before- no complaints. Shot real well.

About as happy as I can be about a recall- Walther did it right.

I had the same problems as most others with Walther's recall site. Finally got it to work with Chrome and pop-up blocking disabled.

The instructions I received said put it in the pistol case with no mags or anything else. That I did.

Dropped it off Monday. They received it Wednesday morning. They shipped it back out Wednesday afternoon! I received it about a half hour ago. Four days door-to-door. Can't complain about the turn-around.

Trigger may be a bit stiffer than it was. Hard to say, as I haven't fired it in a while. (Coincidentally: It was scheduled for a range day last week, when I found out about the recall.) Plus I've been dry-firing for a week, and went to the range yesterday, with a 1911. So my trigger finger's a bit spoiled Seems fine for a striker-fired carry piece meant for SD.

Neither case nor pistol suffered any discernible cosmetic damage. Case had some sticky residue on the right-hand side, which I removed with Goo Gone and a paper towel. The chamber flag did not appear to have damaged the foam.

I'm glad to have it back so quickly. My PPS M2 is my favourite carry piece.
