Hi Everyone,

I haven't posted here in a few years but I feel that it is an appropriate time to chime in.

I bought a PPS M2 in the summer of 2016. I have limited time to go to the range and funds for ammo, but in the 1,000+ rounds I have put through the gun I have been quite impressed. It handles like a larger gun, is more accurate than I am, handles recoil well, and is very reliable. I had a few bobbles in the first few hundred rounds when it was breaking in, and one failure to extract from a cheap aluminum cased ammo that expanded too much. No issues other than that. In fact, I went over 600 rounds without cleaning it and had no malfunctions whatsoever.

So, when the recall business started up I was quite disappointed.

I will say, I noticed no issue with my trigger dingus, but I just dropped off the gun today. We'll see what it's like when I get it back and I'll report in the poll thread regarding any changes in the trigger (if I remember).

I love that little gun and it's been my EDC for a while, and will continue to be after I get it back. Fantastic little pistol. Best single stack 9mm out there in my opinion, and I've shot most of them that are worth looking at.

Missed FedEx yesterday while at work. Will miss them again today and they'll leave it at a central storage place for me (based on last time it got sent back). Would have been 14 days total from shipping to return. I'll pick it up and go to the range this weekend to shoot and will report back. One thing I can say for sure: after carrying the M2 as my EDC AIWB in a BladeTech holster for well over a year, even a relatively thin and short double stack (Taurus Millennium G2) backup in a Concealment Express holster feels like I have a brick on my waist, and it's not the CE holster's fault - it's excellent. I have learned one more reason to love the M2 because of this.

Got mine back yesterday. Trigger feels fine, no change I can feel, other than *perhaps* the trigger safety feeling barely stiffer. Took 18 days from send-in to back in my hands.

I've decided to sell my PPS M2 and buy a S&W M&P 2.0 with the 3.6" barrel.
I just don't like the trigger reset after if was returned from the recall. Way too long, and hard to feel the reset.

I have a single data point here (my PPS) but the reset matches that of an old video from MrGunsnGear. It is a long reset. Never realized that before.

OP, thank you, for posting this thread!
I have yet to receive any recall notification from Walther.
I don't frequent this forum often, but would never have know of the recall, without this thread. We are very thankfull that the wife did not drop her PPS M2 during a two day training course, last month!

Dropped off at FedEx - 23 Nov
Received by Walther - 3 Dec (Case# 57333)
Return shipping notice - 10 Dec
Arrived at door - 12 Dec

Not cleaned.
No details of what was done.

ETA, I just looked at the invoice and item #4 is STEEL REAR SIGHT ASSEMBLY PPS/CREED.
Does that mean they replaced the original rear sight with a steel rear sight?
What was the original rear sight?

I replied to the Walther receipt email, asking these questions. I'll be surprised if I receive a reply.

This was also included (eyes looking up)

Got mine back today. Love the work sheet.
1. They got it.
2. They fixed it.
3. They returned it.
No info at all about what they did.
I'll put 100 rounds through it tomorrow.
