I gave up on the PPK/S. After (4) different magazines with FTF/FTE on each one, plus testing of (2) brands of Match ammo and (4) different High Velocity types of ammo, I never got through a magazine loaded with (8) cartridges without a FTF/FTE with any brand of ammo or any magazine within the 200 or so rounds fired.

Lack of reliability, plus the Zamac frame and poor trigger, just did not light my fire, sorry. I sold the PPK/S and bought another brand .22 pistol. As an engineer, the only thing that I ever used Zamac for was cheap, diecast drawer knobs!

I still thank the Walther gods for making me stop at the local pawn shop while on my way to Shoot Straight to buy the then new PPK/S .22. That was where I found my real "steal" PPK/S .22. To this day it's the best shooting pistol I own.

....and someone else got lucky and picked up a great, lightly-used PPK/S for a discounted price.

It ain't the pistol that's the problem....It's the ammo.

Hardly,if the pistol really was lemon.

YUP....but only if someone agrees with your assessment. I've put at least 10-15,000 rounds through mine since I bought it back in 2013 and, except for the horrible DA trigger pull, have never had any complaints with mine.

But if you've got problems with your "..junker.."...I'll gladly take it off your hands at scrap metal prices and relieve you of your misery.

No one here would likely have even noticed if I hadn't pointed out their absence on carl-walther.de and subsequently looked into it.

They're still widely available and there's no reason to expect the supply to drop to any notable degree anytime within the forseeable future.

It's highly unlikely that they'll ever become a collector's item, or that they'll ever even become rare enough to even be considered as such.

Seriously, they've been in production since 2013, yet I've never even encountered anyone who owned one that has been manufactured since 2013, (I bought mine in October of 2015 and it's dated 2013) so that right there should give you an idea of both their availability and desirability.
Hell, that's probably why they were discontinued in the first place. They were a flop which appealed to a niche market.
I've posted a review of my PPK/S.
It's a BH code, which makes it a 2017 gun, unless I'm mistaken.

At the end of last year several PPK/S .22 with date code BH appeared on the market. I wonder about the serial number on your exemplar. Does it have a PL or WF prefix?
