A military issue PP should have Eagle/WaA359 Waffenamt stamps located on the left frame and slide like my 1944 military PP in the photos below:

Yes it does. So this confirms my assessment. My gun dealer misinterpreted the inspection stamps as pre-WWII. I will purchase a bore light tomorrow. Even though the finish is very good, I suspect this pistol was used allot. Hopefully the rifling is still good.

BTW I also have an Interarms manufactured PP Super 380. The quality difference between the two is surprising. The quality of the Interarms IMO is not even close to that of the very good war time PP.
