PPK - Trigger

Hello everybody!
Just to kill time in this period (I live in Milan, northern Italy...everybody locked in the house due to COVID outbreak...really a nightmare...) I was looking at my Manurhin 22, s/n 134, early 80's and I noticed that the trigger is knurled (don't know if this is the right term...see pic), the same for my PPsport dtd 1966, while my other ppk, a Manurhin 7,65 dated late 50's is completely smooth...
Do you guys know when Walther/Manu started to machine the trigger in this way?
Thanks!
Paolo

I think it was circa 1968, when the USA imposed technical criteria on imported handguns, awarding "points" for certain features. "Target" triggers (i.e., grooved) got 2 points toward a total requirement of 75.
