Thanks, Jimbo, I started to do that, but my last two efforts at trying to help a seller has not been.....satisfying. I will say that my limited experience shows that commercial sellers tend to be more receptive than an individual.

Is the color on that pistol real or is it a camera thing that makes it look red?

If you mean the red plastic of the grips, those were Manurhin’s proprietary grips. They came in different shades of red to red-brown. I suspect the lighting makes the red on this gun look a bit redder than it would in natural light.

There is much to be said for minding one's own business.

Among the first things that could be said is that no good deed goes unpunished.

Assuming same amount of pistols made per year was roughly the same, this pistol was made in 1984ish.

The production numbers during the last years were lower, so 1981 or 1982 might be a better guess.

The auction ended with a short history of 0 bids. By the way, the seller has looked at the text again at best – but didn't change anything.

The auction ended the day after I sent the note. No idea if the ad ran it's course or if the owner ended it early. I didn't see it relisted.
