True Ft. Smith PPK/S?

Hello everyone, I could use some help from some of you that already have a confirmed Ft. Smith PPK/S. My dear wife has purchased me one from Bud’s for my birthday, and has called both Bud’s and Walther to try to confirm for me that it was one from Ft. Smith. She said that Bud’s was absolutely no help, as she said that first of all she could never get anyone on the phone—only online chat. The person she spoke with there apparently told her that there was “no way” they could know whether the gun was from a Ft. Smith batch, as their guns all ship from different locations. The person she spoke with at Walther said that, if it was a Ft. Smith pistol, the serial number would begin with an “AB”. Can anyone else confirm for me, please, before we go and pick it up/accept delivery this afternoon? Are there any other ways to know it is a Ft. Smith gun? I gather it will days Ft. Smith on it somewhere, and/or Germany? Thanks!

Is there a QR code and a serial number on the frame? It's one of the new ones.

Also, there hasn't been any German production of the PP/PPK/PPKS in many years.

The Fort Smith PPK/S pistol SN's begin with AB and end in six numeric there is also a correlating QR Code. S&W SN's were three alpha ending in four numeric.
