How about showing a photo of your acquisition --BOTH sides, WITH the serial number?

When I get home. I'm leaving in a few minutes to return home from SoCal. It's a two-day drive. I'll even show the serial, but will black out the last three digits.

I'm clueless, what's the point of showing both sides or the serial number?

Is it even a “good idea” to show the serial number, of any gun you own, online?

Agreed. Don’t get the doubt here.

If this gun is actually new production, one would expect to see an s/n higher (or with a different prefix) than the display guns that have been at the SHOT Show in past years. Also, since this gun is said to be a PPK/s, the rear sight won't be distinctive*, but the slide legend will be.

M

*Correction: I was wrong on this aspect; the rear sight on the new PPK/s is apparently the same as on the new PPK; i.e., integral with the slide.

The QR code on the side, or lack thereof, should tell you if it's current production or not.
