I don’t know if others use this trick concerning the spring.....but if you hold the spring about 3/4 in down the shaft of the rod.....and then grasp the rod with needle nose pliers.....holding the spring in place.......use the pliers to install the spring and rod.

I found this trick on YouTube, and many of you may already be aware of it. I also have the captive rods for my two pk but find the guns more responsive returning to battery with the original springs and rods. Great gun.......”Don’t leave home with out it”

Shot 50 rounds thru my PK today, with it's new captured recoil spring, and it was flawless. Racking seems smoother and easier also. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Just to ask, what league and class are you able to shoot the PK380 in?

I looked at the Back-Up Gun pistol class and found that the PK380 and the Browning 1911-380 are too large for it. The only one that I see that may allow the 380acp service pistols is the Compact Carry Pistol division of the IDPA

. . . I take that back:

Pistols used in the CCP division must be semi-automatic, 9mm (9x19mm) or larger caliber

I shoot in Germany so other competition rules.

Here the competition I use the PK380 for requires the pistol to fit in a box measuring 180mm x 140mm x 40mm, caliber goes from .32 up to .45 Auto.

Thanks, here the only class that allows .380 is the Back Up Gun class, and it uses a smaller box.
