Hello all,

Looking to get a holster for my walther 9mm. Anyone have any recommendations on which one I should buy? Looking for an IWB preferable for the front right. Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

The DeSantis Speed Scabbard isn't IWB and I carry it at 4 O'clock but if you decide to go in this direction, it is made for the CCP, fits like a glove and carries really close to the body. Around 50 bucks at Midway or Amazon and I couldn't be more pleased with it.

To your point I thought you might be interested in this. As I mentioned in another thread I just purchased a PPQ M2 45. However, I did not have a holster and decided to call Black Arch. As Shawn(sp) and I were discussing the PPQ I noticed that Black Arch had replaced the single clip IWB I purchased 6 months earlier with a new Protos M single clip. In the middle of our discussion re differences and why they made the changes Shawn said that since their holsters had a lifetime warranty he would replace the older version with a new one......now that is great customer service! Of course I accepted his offer and I now have the new one.

Our conversation once again turned to the PPQ M2 45 and I quickly discovered that their list of PPQ M2's does not include the 45acp. Shawn said they would design and build the single and double clip for the 45acp and it should take 3-4 weeks. Needless to say....I was impressed. I am waiting for his call on that one but I will make the purchase from them.

I do not see the CCP listed on any of their holsters but it would be worthwhile to ask. They manufacture a hybrid holster with and include good options as part of the holster design.

Chandler, I see the CCP listed for the Black Arch ACE-1 Gen 2 holster, they look nice.

I have to mention my favorite IWB, and for that matter if you were looking for OWB kydex, Stealth Gear makes the best kydex holsters on the market IMO. I have several leather and a few kydex holsters from various manufacturers, but Stealth Gear tops them all. They are very expensive compared to the others, but worth it in terms of comfort, fit and finish. The Vent Core backing is far more comfortable than leather to have against your skin and is washable. I don’t like appendix carry, but I have two appendix carry holsters (CCP and PPS), and three IWB (CCP, PPS and Kahr K9) as well as one OWB (Sig P320) and they are the ones I use every time.

For full disclosure, my favorite holster for my PPQ is a DeSantis leather with thumb break. I wear my clothes too tight to put a PPQ IWB.

I always come back to DeSantis holsters. My CCP is riding in a DeSantis mini scabbard as I type this. While I know holster preference is a very subjective thing, I've owned holsters from Milt Sparks, Fobus, Crossbreed, etc etc, none of them have been as comfortable or functional as the DeSantis holsters I own.

I don't want the clips exposed for a typical IWB.
I use the UltiClips on my Crossbreed MiniTuck for my PPS M2 when I want to go full stealth mode carrying in business clothes... Clip the clips to your pants and wear your belt over them... I wouldn't recommend this style carry for a heavier gun but the lighter PPS M2 and CCP it works great...

I got a Long's Shadow Antero holster for myself, and it works great. To carry it IWB, you will need some IWB clips (offered by Long's Shadow). I haven't tried yet to see if the Ulticlip works, but I do have an extra Ulticlip3 that I hope to install this weekend.
