Apparently there's been a revision to them already. No clue if my buddies' G42 falls into the first release category, but he bought it the week it was released, we both tried it right after buying it and it had no issues nor has it had an issue for him but just in case..

Thanks for the info. Wife bought a G42 at the start of May, not sure which model it is, but has functioned 100% with MagTech .380 FMJ. Was bought to compete in the new GSSF sidematch for the G42. She managed a strategic win and $$ due to little competition existing as most shooters do not have this gun yet. Will update as to new or old once she brings it home from the GSSF match she is shooting this weekend.

Apparently my friend has the "original" as it has no -1 on the frame. We've both fired reloads, cheap FMJ, WWB, Blazer, and some PDX rounds through it... no issues.

I really like the gun, but my CW380 Kahr fits the pocket role much better for me. IF Glock would come out with a model 43 (or 41) in 9x19....then we'd be talking trading in my PM9... :)

I recently ordered a Glock 33 Gen 4 from Buds as I won a Lone Wolf 40-9mm conversion barrel for the G27 and 33 recently so I figured it'd make for convenient reloading in 9mm and 357 Sig with the same bullets.

She came home at 2100 local, while putting her stuff away I had a quick peek and it is the new frame and internals in hers. The only ammo it has failed to shoot reliably so far is S&B. Ran fine with the MagTech for her in the match this weekend. Guess this explains unavailability of G42 magazines, they needed to revise them and production is behind.

My question is , "Why would Glock knowingly produce a 42 Before wringing it out and eliminating problems?".
Rush to market when issues exist only lead to Loss of sales in the end.
I own a 42. Have shot it many times to date and see no problems. Lucky? Or?
Mine is 1st type.......

I have been saying it should read, "Glock Imperfection" for years now. Even added the letters to a T shirt my LGS owner gave me a few years ago.

In case someone is looking, The Glockstore has G42 mags in stock and is selling them. Wife just sent me a copy of her order. Looks like they are going for $29.95 each. Just an FYI in case someone is looking.

I am so tired of being a beta tester for manufacturer's products. This is a direct result of the legislation drafted to prevent frivolous flawed product lawsuits. Now the manufacturers know they can tell us to piss up a rope if we buy their product and it is deficient in some way. Maybe we should let the lawyers back in...
