Any thoughts about best ammo for the PPQ .22 gun?

CCI

I just picked one up and haven't gotten it to the range yet, but CCI mini mags seem to run the best based on what I've read. Fiocchi is also made by CCI. For first run I'd stick to any good high velocity copper washed ammo and try to avoid hollow points if possible. But after break in the PPQs seem to run standard velocity ammo (usually under 1100 fps) just as well.

The most reliable ammo I've found in all my rimfires is the CCI AR Tactical. 1200fps, 40 gr. copper wash round nose. I think it's only available in the 300 round packs but mini mags come in smaller boxes and are also 40 gr. copper round nose.

Avoid CCI stingers, that's not only had reported troubles in rimfire PPQs but they're just a tad longer than other rimfire .22lr so they're not reliable in most semi autos.

I use CCI Standard for most of my .22s, but the PPQ has functioned with other standard velocity ammo, like Eley and Aguila SV, as well.

My son did recently have extraction issues with Federal Champion, but I've not used it personally. I cleaned and checked the chamber, and we'll see if there are any issue with CCI SV next time out.

I typically don't shoot high velocity ammo like MiniMags if it's not needed to consistently cycle the slide as I think it produces unnecessary wear.

I have over 2,500 rounds through by PPQ 22 and shoot suppressed for the most part. The only ammo I have had issues with is Remington Golden Bullet, subpar quality. Fiocchi is a good brand for the 22 and 9mm models.
I haven't shot any .22 Fiocchi, but have shot quite a bit of their .45 230 gr FMJs in training. The .45 is made in the U.S.

My son recently purchased some Foicchi 9mm (115gr I believe), and it's made in Italy. Priced about the same as Aguila, and cleaner from what I've heard.

Didn't know the Fiocchi .22 was made by CCI.

My PPQ .22 rarely misses a beat on CCI SV. My favorite .22 pistol combo.
