Hi From Lost Wages, Nv

New member, came by for a visit and some info and decided to stay. Own P22, P99 (and S&W99), and now the venerable P38. Looking forward to giving and sharing info and general all around fellowship with the members here.

Regards

RC

Nice to have you on board, RC: welcome. Sounds like you have a nice selection of Walthers ... a good starting point, for sure. But just so you know, they tend to be addictive. Enjoy your time on the forum.

Hello everyone. Great forum here with a huge wealth of information. I am the proud new owner of a 1938 PP 7.65 and would like some help tracking down more information on the gun. It is still serial numbered with numbers only no letters. It is a crown over N and has the R.J. initials on the front of the grip. The gun is in excellent condition with just a little bit of holster wear. What has me wondering is the finish. It is a flat matte finish on the gun through and through. I do not find any reference to this finish this early on. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I will work on getting some pictures up this weekend.
Thanks

Nice to have you with us, Ryan. Enjoy your time here. Be sure to check out the Sticky notices in both the FAQ and regular sections of the PP/TP areas of the forum. You'll find a Start Here First thread that will provide you with links to a variety of threads that should help answer your questions. There's also a link there for posting photos. We'll be happy to take a look.

Hello. I'm Mike Murphy. I carried a Walthur P-38 in Viet-nam as an infantry officer, now have a PPKS I intend to use as a carry piece. Love these guns. My P-38 saved my life on two occasions and I'm happy to be sticking with such familiar design features. Interested in getting the best holtser(s) for concealed carrying.

Thumbs up Thank You For Having Me

Having purchased a Walther P1 a number of years ago I am here to learn more about this pistol. I do not own many firearms but the ones I have I like to know what makes them tick, the good and bad. I do not know alot about the P1 so I will not be able to contribute much but I am sure I will learn plenty here. So just to start I will say please forgive me my future newbie questions and thank you again

Nice to have you with us, scea. The P1 is a popular pistol here, along with the P38 and the P4 and P5; you'll be in good company. Enjoy your time on the forum.
