Settled in (sort of)

After a 4 day drive across the US from Phoenix and a couple of weeks to settle in I'm finally back to some sense of normalcy. Myself and the dogs are now about 8 miles outside Bowling Green Kentucky. A very nice change from the city of Phoenix. I am definitely not missing the current temperatures (106 there today I believe) that I endured for years. It's a nice 70 degrees with a breeze this morning. Actually went out to the back yard and ran a couple of mags through one of my ppk's for some early morning target practice while ago.
I Definitely missed being online and my "Walther collecting" is on a bit of a hiatus till I wear some of the moving debt down.
However it can't be controlled very well and I doubt it will last that long. Just wanted to say hello to my Forum friends. Glad to be back. ~J

Isn't moving just so much fun???

Congrats on getting settled in............sort of!!

It takes about a year before you feel like you are actually "home".

My last move..........actually my LAST move.............was six years ago and I sorta feel at home now. Never moving again.

A jump over to Eastern Iowa wouldn't be a bad move, these Illinois carry "laws" are insane, as well as gas prices..

Bit greener in tucky than the desert? Eyes can get bored of days filled with the same hues. Incredible you can just shoot in your backyard, keep living it!

Carry "laws" in Illinois are prohibitive. I still have my old expired F.O.I.D. from when I lived in Chicago back in the mid 80s.

Thanks for the info Andy, I will keep them in mind. I do need an ffl as well for my modern gun purchases so it looks like they may come in handy. ~J
