Video from a German Movie. WH vs. SS

I am not sure the name of this German Movie. I think it said the Last Train to Auswitzh? It was just listed as Wehrmacht vs. SS. A SS Train full of Jews pulls into a Town full of German Soldiers. The People in the Train yell to the German Soldiers, for Food. The come over and give Food to Them. A SS Full LT. comes off the Train yelling at everyone to get away from the Train. He is confronted by the Senior Lt. of the WH. Who jumps all over him, and basically calls him a piece of Garbage, and Worse. I love how the German Soldiers were humane to the People in the Train. The SS and the WH face off, this sort of reminds me of Michael Caine in that 1977 Movie where he stood up to a Senior Officer(The Eagle has Landed) If anyone has seen the Film let me know how it was. General discussion is the place for this, but I personally think it does the forum no good.

I just wanted to show there were Humane People in the regular German Forces. I recall seeing a History Channel Show on U-Boats. Wartime Movies portrayed them as Evil, such as Humpy Bogart's Movie Action in the North Atlantic. In reality, Only one U-Boat Crewman with an MP-40 Schmeisser SMG. fired at Lifeboats, He was quickly Taken down by other Crewmen on the U-Boat. Paul

See the link I posted at #4 above. While the posted movie clip (at #1 above) tells a "they weren't all bad" story, a confrontation like this likely never happened. However, if it did happen, then it's a cherry picking of the deeds of those who supported and/or committed genocide.

I'm not going to bash the German people after WWII. They paid a hefty price for their behavior during the war.

However DE Pistole's assessment certainly seems to match that of my father's. He did the "walking tour of Europe" during that time and I'd trust scholarly research and his first hand accounts rather than a movie.

Movies are nice Paul but they are usually fiction and unfortunately have little to do with hard fact.

As to wartime movies, they are wartime movies and should be view through that lens also: fiction (read propaganda)
