Yet another hospital stay

Been away again. Got hospitalized for the fourth time for an infection in my leg. Got it early this time and it was just starting to go septic.Just woke up one morning and the leg felt like it was on fire, then the uncontrollable shivering and teeth chattering started to set in. Off to the ER, get admitted, had the usual treatment with lots of IV fluids and IV antibiotics again. Getting too used the routine and the nursing staff remembers me now from my previous visits. The bad thing is I am running out of good veins to put IVs into, the ones they set up keep failing within a few days. Anyway, back at home again, trying to stay safe and healthy.

Take care of yourself! Perhaps a warmer climate would help?

Glad you are home P99Pete. I'm at MD Anderson in Houston getting a bit of surgery tomorrow in preparation for almost two months of radiation. I haven't seen where this 100 degree weather has helped me at all....but, it might be just the ticket.

I've got a spare follower for a .32 mag and when I get back...if the sucker will bend a small amt without breaking I'm going to see if I can make my stack of say..... .32 ammo sit parallel with the lips. Right now, none of the mags do...but they feed 100%. They all sit a bit nose down. I can't see anything to do much adjusting to except the follower.

I'll be thinking on that as they give me the gas tomorrow. 1917

I'm of the firm opinion that the pair of you need rubber band guns for use in maintaining your skills while stuck in hospital rooms/beds. Ammo's cheap for them, by the way.

Seriously, may the force be with you (plural).

I have real ones....waiting on OldFart to bring the targets. I worked at a place one time where we had a lot of rubber bands and too much time on our hands. Got to where I could put 8 of 10 bands down the muzzle of a coke bottle from 8'. I can still shoot em pretty accurately and far.

P99pete, how are you doing? Mending well I hope. I'm finishing up week three of daily proton radiation. Only five more weeks to go. 1917
