Thumbs up When Worlds Collide! 1951

George Pal made some of the best Sci-Fi. Movies of all time. 2 of my favorite of his most Memorial Movies. were The War of the Worlds(1953) and When Worlds Collide(1951) Pal made over 20 Movies, He Died in 1980, but left us some of the most Memorial Movies That never go out of style. Plus he added some scenes in the Films which are Remembered long after seeing the Movies.

War of the Worlds was full of great memorial Scenes. The one I liked the most, was the Uncle of Gene Barry's Girlfriend, He walked out on the Battlefield holding up his Bible, and reciting the Lords Prayer, He had felt that the Martians were closer to God, as they were more advanced than us. He Died with that Thought.

In When Worlds Collide. my most Memorial scene was after the Lottery was held for the People who would ride the Rocket to the Planet passing over the Earth, before the Asteroid Collided with the Earth 30 Days later, destroying the Planet. There was a Man and Woman working on the Rocket, when they finished it, the Lottery was held. He won one of the Tickets for the Trip, She did not, in the memorial scene of the Film, He goes to see her, and she is Crying because she will not be able to go with him.

He goes back to the main Office, and gives the Ticket back to them, and said here, give this to someone who can use it! He chose to stay on Earth and Die with the Woman he Loved, instead of going to the new World and living with out her. That is Love! George Pal was a Genius in the Way he made his Films. Paul

There was a happy ending for the Couple, they were able to get a spot for his Girl, and She was able to go to Zira with him. Hard to believe both this Film and the War of the Worlds, were made during the Korean War!
