Loving this Daniel Defense AR

Took the DDM4V7 out for some range time with a new 3X9 optic.

This target was 50 rounds at 50 yards. I think I'm ready for the zombie apocalypse ;-)

Agreed, it's a nice gun.

But my eyes glaze over at all the AR-platform rifles, carbines, pistols, etc. etc. being offered by at least 47 (or is it 74?) different manufacturers, producers or assemblers. Is there any company left that does NOT have at least one AR model in their product line?

Two I can think of: Daisy and Walther.

The Umarex crew is already in on the act.

Gun Review: Umarex/Colt AR 15 - 22 - The Truth About Guns

Rimfire ARs: Colt/Umarex AR-15 Review - Guns & Ammo

We've had middling reports off and on from folks here who have tried it.

DD makes fantastic ARs, one of my favorite builders. I'm digging that rifle save for the GripPod. Send me any of your unwanted .223/5.56 brass. My AR is a pig and I can't keep it fed.

A good AR these days is almost a necessity. But they are fun to shoot and customize. I bought mine a few years back before all the controversy ... I don't get it out to the range much, but it's enjoyable when a I do ...

No my friend, you need an AK for that. AK for absolute reliability when the apocalypse comes and the days after that.

These Umarex toys are complete pieces of junk and have fake controls molded onto the receiver. Avoid at all costs and get a M&P15-22 instead, with it you can at least get realistic training done as the control layout and handling is same as 5.56mm AR.
