Miltary rifle powders were stick or extruded powders up until the 7.62x51 and 5.56x45 were adopted.

And I guess you have have never seen the report by the guy who forgot some loaded rounds in his tumbled and tumbled them for more than 24 hours? No Kaboom. No change in MV.
