Beretta 92 question

A question for those that are more then vaguely familiar with the various Beretta 92 models. I’ve been eyeing up a Lagdon tactical LTT elite for $850. Now my local gun store has the new 92x centurion. While this model doesn’t have the lighter trigger pull and spring set, it does have the dovetailed sights front and rear. The vertec grip with thinner grips, the crowned barrel and is a 1/2” shorter which I like. It’s also about $100 less.

The trigger job on the LTT justifies the extra 100 alone. I guess I’m looking for justification to skimp on the $100.... any opinions?

Whatever one you decide on, STRIP AND INSPECT 100% before signing the transfer docs.

It took three WC 92G Brig Tacs before I had one of acceptable quality, the two rejected examples were MD production, the keeper is a TN production unit.

Consider that the $100 more you might spend does not amount to much over the life of the gun or the time you own it. If you sell it in 5 years and the cost is $20 per year, or $1.67 per month.

Then add in the extra money you will get upon resale because it is a more expensive model. suppose because of the model you get $50 more selling it in five years. That cuts your monthly 84 cents a month.

If you cannot absorb the $1.67 or $0.84 per month, then I suspect you cannot afford the gun in the first place. Buy the gun you want and enjoy it.

I think that I'd rather have the 92X.

It’s not the matter of affording it. It’s that the “want” list keeps growing. Lol. And no, I can’t afford all the wants. But it seems as soon as I check one off the list there’s 2 more added.

I typically pick up 3 firearms a year. I’m trying to stretch it to 4. Lol.

Jaake I carried a full size 92 when I was on the job, one day i was prowling the LGS, and. I came across a Beretta 92-G Centrion with night sights, and trigger pull like butter. The Centrion’s are easier to conceal because of their slightly shorter barrel.
