Well, it needs to be addressed and stopped, or every other spam seller will be following the same path.

The vendor rules need to be modified, to eliminate this kind of 'unwanted' advertising. AND, the rules also need to be modified to allow 'users' to 'Ignore' these spam masters.

Unfortunately for us this is a corporately owned forum......

It's what happens when you give up private ownership and control.

I don't know who's bright idea it was when all of these forums were sold to this one corporation, but now we reap the results.

Walther forums in my opinion have very annoying popup ads that are unrelated to firearms. So I use an adblocker app on my android tablet and receive no pop ups at all.
So gun related adds are blocked along with non gun related ads. Perhaps supporting vendors may communicate that to the owners.
As members apparently have no influence with the forum management as I contacted the administrators about this and they did nothing. I also contacted the ad provider company and they did nothing. I repeatedly selected what adds I wanted screened out in the ad window per their instruction but continued to get the subject non gun related ads. Thus I use an adblocker app especially for Walther Forums.

I use an ad blocker on every site. Screw them.

I've been around forums for 20 years, more or less.

NEVER have I seen the likes of...this.

Spam?

It is. Vendor or not, I came here to read people's comments on the guns they shoot and want to shoot, not go shopping for parts.

Then there's the issue with tapatalk, and how I got the same old runaround two different times. I asked how to stop getting the email notifications and was told (and shown) what to disable to stop them. Newsflash, I had those disabled all along and STILL get the email alerts.

There's no tapatalk "in" my PC OR my phone, indeed, I don't check forums with my phone anyhow.

When I mentioned the PPS section might need a little freshening up, one of the admins asked what I recommend?

Really? You're the admin. If I have to do something you ought to know how to do, why are you here?
(the response I got made me believe that most of the admins don't know the difference between a firing pin block and a lego block. this isn't directed at the guys who've been members here for a good time, Doug, Steve, and those fellas.)

(PS, I AM not interested in being an admin here)

And I'm pretty sure my PC got a virus from this place a few weeks ago.

You guys, check your AV and run a scan.

There's a difference between running a forum, and running it into the ground.

All I'm gonna say.

Thank you for letting us know about the posting issue with this vendor. We have sent these concerns to their account rep so we can come up with a resolution to this posting issue.

Sorry about the inconvenience in the meantime.

Really, people?

https://www.waltherforums.com/forum/g...0-shipped.html

How in the hell is this a gun deal?

I'm tired of this random crap. Either set it so we can block this seller, or, something, please.

Thanks, Beau.
