Out of Spec Magazines?

Took my .32acp PP out of storage for a run today flawless fun with older blue mags..

I also tried 2 stainless mags I bought new a couple of years ago. They are the same size as the old blue ones-but will not insert completely . They bang into something with maybe 1/3 of an inch out of the grip. Unfortunately I had discarded the packaging when purchased several years ago.

Is it possible these were made for the S&W gun and do not fit older PP series? They are marked Walther 7.65mm.

Who would make reliable mags for this gun now? Mec Gar??

Thanks for your thoughts.

Yep, MecGar frequently is factory. Anybody know what Ft. Smith is currently using?

You said 'stainless mags'. Are they marked? The MecGar logo is a stylized G over an M. Walther mags should have a Walther banner.
If your mags are totally unmarked, be suspicious.

Mystery solved! They are .380ACP mags that are mis-marked "7.65mm." Right under the Walther banner. I wonder how many of those got out?

Is there a groove up the left side of your mags?
