How to check for completed auctions on GunBroker

For all of those who may not know about this feature, it is available. Unlike E-Bay, it does not narrow down to only sold items, but it does show completed ones.
To use it do the following: At the top right corner of the GunBroker page there is a gray link for "Advanced (search)". Click on it and it opens a new tab. This new tab will have 2 links to choose from, the one on the right being for "completed items" which is the one to use to see what things sold for. Hope this is useful, John.

But you have to have a Gunbroker.com account in order to see the completed auctions.

True, I overlooked that. Yes, FIRST you need to be signed in. IIRC you will need a CC you are willing to give them to sign up. Sorry for the oversight.

It used to be easy to see past results, as it was on the main page of the search results. I've found it easier, rather than wading through different pages and menus, to just add this string to the end of the url after doing a search:

&timeframe=1&sort=9

Kind of strange looking at first, but easy to remember after a couple times. It gives you completed auctions, in descending order by number of bids (which is the important part).

Thank you. As a new member Walther Forums has helped me a lot on my first day. I now know the age of my Walther .32 PP, the significance of the lack of marking and the two serial numbers and an approximate value from Gun Brokers. com where your instructions guided me to the completed auctions for pistols similar to mine. thanks again
