5" and 4" frame, the same?

Hi,

I'm new to the to the wonderful world of Walther. I've been shooting for a little over a year and finally found my holly grail of guns, the PPQ! Man I love my M2, I originally purchased a M2 5" and then sold off the complete upper after buying myself the 4" upper. I did this because I decided that I enjoy 4" pistols more than 5", just preference.

I've put about 500 rounds through my new 4" assembly without a hiccup, but I've really never known for sure if the 5 inch and 4 inch frame are identical of if they're merely interchangeable but not quite identical. Would anyone happen to know?

Thanks!

I've owned a 4" and have taken apart a 5". The frames appear to be identical.
