The P99 also blocks the striker when you have the decocker depressed, which is my favorite feature for appendix carry. Holding it down as you holster both gets your finger off the trigger and mechanically prevents firing.

The consequences of an ND while carrying in the appendix position could result in a hole in your femoral artery due to the direction the pistol is pointed when holstering/unholstering, which could kill you in minutes, if not seconds.

I'm pretty sure the OP had something like this in mind close to a year ago when this thread was started.

The problem is the type of carry..... Appendix carry is risky at best... I'd never carry a gun that points at my junk...and like you say it is a prescription for disaster
