I just ordered two mags from Cheaper than dirt. I don't really like that place, but they had them in stock. I asked about the follower in the pic being black and was told that it was a stock photo and not to worry about it. Here is a link. I hope I got the right one. Their needed for a competition next week. I have not ordered from them since before the last election when they jacked up the price of P-Mags to $50.00 to gouge people........

2-MGWAF76001 - Walther PPQ Magazine 9mm Luger 15 Rounds Anti Friction Coating Black

Just ordered 2 of the MAGFA915 from Magnum Research, $31.99 each for a total of $70.29 with shipping. Tried to find some locally but no one has either the Walther or other mags, probably would have been more expensive anyway.
Thanks Ops for posting the mag numbers. As soon as I'm able to try them out I'll post here again to put another notch in the stock and say "Yup .. these work great for the PPQ."

I just received my order of (2) 10rd Magnium Research mags. Definately doesn't look at nice as the factory ones but at half the price I'm not going to complain.

Anybody tried the promags? I know from experience their AR15 mags suck.

Save your money and devote it to something that will work consistently. Quality ammo comes to mind.

Anyone tried these for sure?

The Pro-Mag WAL-A2

They are in the list of mags that work fine, but when i look them up at this link, they all say "blue" after them. I don't know if they're refering to the follower or the gun color (blued). I cant find any "red" ones, if thats even what I'm supposed to look for.

2-MGPMWAL-A2 - ProMag Walther P99 Magazine 9mm 15 Round Blue

I don't want to have to modify anything, I just want it to work. Let me know, Thanks!

I've always been a believer in 'you get what you pay for'....and for $17 bucks, I just can't believe this mag is of the same quality as a factory original. I know the originals cost about 50 bucks, but when the SHTF which one do you really want in your gun.

Here's a review of the promag from the CTD web site: Bought the Walther ProMag P99 / SW99 9mm (15) round mag for my Walther PPQ. There is an online video showing this mag working, so I thought I would give it a shot. The mag does in fact work in the PPQ and cycles through just fine. However, in the course of 60 rounds (4 mags worth), there were 3 instances when the last round would not chamber, and the slide would lock in the open position as if it was out of ammo. I then ran both the factory mags that come with the PPQ with no issues. This is a fine mag for target work, but I will need to put many more rounds through these to determine the cause of the 3 failures to feed I experienced with two different ProMags in the PPQ.

As magazines purchased used or without packaging will not have the part numbers, it is important to note the following:

PPQ magazines will work in the P99. The reverse is true only if the P99 magazine is the most recent version, which as I understand it, has visible differences in the magazine tubes as follows:

1. The rear of the LEFT feed lip will have the ejector relief cut so that there is sufficient clearance between the left feed lip and the ejector so that the ejector is not damaged or snapped off by repeated forceful magazine insertions.

2. The front wall of the magazine tube is LOWER than the earlier P99 magazines so that the front wall of the magazine tube will not hit the bottom of the feed ramp in the PPQ causing damage to the feed ramp.

Others may want to chime in with written descriptions of the differences so that a purchaser can tell upon inspection if the magazine is correct.

So will S&W marked Walther P99 magazines w. red followers work? I just ordered a new pair of 40 S&W 10 rounders off of eBay but they did not list a Part#. Not even sure if S&W will list the same Part# as Walther or what that S&W # is if they did. Anyone know???

The OP needs to update this to say PPQ Classic only, or add a section for M2 pistols. People are getting confused now..
