1965 PP starred out marking?

I am hoping for some help in identifying the starred out marking and verifying the age of a PP 7.65 I bought today. I am pretty sure thanks to the barrel marking of 65 with an eagle it is a 1965. Is it made in France or Germany? Any help would be very appreciated.

It's a German Police surplus but I'm unable to indentify the coat of arms. A sharper, more detailed pic is needed.

Acc. to German law it was made in Germany. Parts were made by Manurhin/France.

Btw: More probably made in 1966. The list you've used is good but a ballpark estimate.

Thank you, Martin!! I will work on a better picture of the marking. The barrel is marked 65 does that make the year more definitive?

Marking is really hard to see under the star. Might have to get out the real camera. Any better?

Baden-Wuerttemberg

65 on the barrel seat means: Proofed in 1965 by Ulm proof house => antler. So yes, I'm corrected => Made in 1965

Attached a picture of a rare one that was not defaced, a real unicorn. Baden-Württemberg was so thorough that I wonder how this one got through. Maybe the photo was taken when the gun was still in service.
