New Member who is a Massive Walther fan but knows they know so little!!! :)

Good Evening guys (or whatever timezone you are in)

I am currently on hold for a Walther PPK and want to confirm all is well with it and make sure it is original I see some have been redone re worked and I definitely 100% want a original pre war model before they were not allowed to manufacture in Germany.

I have attached relveant photos and any information is greatly apriciated. It is great that there is a forum for this on my tiny rock that is Jersey so good to have access to some much information on here!!!

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,

Thomas

Based on what you have provided, the pistol does not appear to have been refinished. The roll marks appear to be sharp. For best results though, I would recommend clear, detailed, close up photos.

Hi! I'm from Brazil, can't get much info about those pistols here. I inherited a PP, was my dad's favorite gun. it's a 5 digit serial number, no letter. 9265X. it has the "N" mark on the slide, the drawing on top of the N appears to be a diamond, it's not clear. The markings on the other side are a little bit faded, but it appears to say "Zella Mehlis (thur)" can someone help me to find when it was made?

Probably made in (late) 1936. Time correct mag, the grip seems to be cracked (gap behind the safety lever). Grip is also the older version (screw direction changed around #850000), but perhaps it was changed or it's a transition model. Def. a nice one imo

Thank you martin! You are correct there is a little crack. The rest is in lovely condition for the age and I really wanted an original one not the interarms ones or the ones after the war.

I am glad you told me it's the old grip as I need to source a replacement do you know where I could procure one?
