Rattle with loaded magazine

Hello everyone,

I have come to notice that when I have a fully loaded magazine inserted and rock the gun forward and backward it makes a rattle/thud sound. I removed the magazine and shock it and it was quiet. I then removed the slide and inserted the magazine and I can see and hear the magazine rock forwards and back. With the slide on it intensifies the sound. If I quick draw its very prominent. Both my magazines do it. The magazine has to have slack in the handle so I am pretty sure it's normal but would love if anyone could try it on there Creed and tell me if it does the same thing?

Thanks!

Are you sure it's not cartridges schlocking around inside the mag body?

PPX did the same thing. Discussed here several times.

Yep, yep.....and its like MGM pointed out....its the rounds in the magazine rattling, not the magazine bouncing around in the frame.

And as Sunny pointed out, its been discussed many times on this forum. See link I posted.

You're good to go....just remember to NOT shake your pistol or your booty (when carrying). No break dancing either.............

Your right, it is the mag moving in the body, not the rounds. The rounds do move depending on how many are in the mag but when its full its solid. Like I said, when I install the mag with out the slide I can see it rocking back and forth but it's quieter since the slider is off. I put the slide on and it gets more pronounced. I believe it is normal like some of you all are saying. I guess I can ask Walther to confirm. 700 rounds so far with out any issues. Love it! Trigger feels even better!

Update!

Yes its the rounds. It does it intermittently. Sometimes when I move the full mag around with my hand it doesn't rattle but when I insert the mag into the gun its starts, not always. It just depends on the position of the rounds in the mag. No worries! Thanks for the help everyone!

Ahhhhh, so my advice is still sound. Stop shaking your gun, and try not to shake your booty when carrying.

KC and the Sunshine Band, in the headphones will increase your tendency to want to shake your booty.
